District Announces Hall of Fame Class of 2026 Inductees

Brooklyn City Schools is proud to announce the Hall of Fame Class of 2026 which features distinguished alumni and a noteworthy athletic team from the district’s storied history. The Hall of Fame Class of 2026 includes Arnie Boigner (Class 1987), Chris “Sparky B” Biller (Class of 1988), Mark Murphey (Class of 1988), Dr. Michael Valente (Class of 1997 ), Ryan Petkac (Class of 2002), and the 2001-2002 Varsity Boys’ Basketball Team. 

Brooklyn City Schools also recognizes Bob Hennings with the Ron Szudy School Community Engagement Award for his contributions and service on behalf of the district, City of Brooklyn, and our nation. 

All inductees were nominated by Brooklyn citizens, faculty (current or retired), students, and graduates, and approved by the Hall of Fame Committee. Please visit the district’s official Hall of Fame page to learn more about each of this year’s inductees.
The district will hold its annual Hall of Fame induction ceremony on Thursday, September 24th at 6:15 p.m. in the Brooklyn High School Gymnasium.
